To Shoal Bay

As you can see from the map, I’ve done very little except drive today. Why do cities decant you immediately onto a motorway before you have managed to become familiar with the car? It also took a lot longer than that estimate.

Incidentally, to access the sat nav I had to go and buy a temporary Australian SIM card which means that if you try to phone, text or iMessage me it won’t work. WhatsApp and Messenger are fine.

I stopped for lunch and had a nose bleed – my sinuses still haven’t recovered from the plane – so had a nice chat with the girl from the cafe who brought me paper towels and ice. There was also an accident on the motorway which meant a long diversion. Ho hum.

This is Shelly Bay where I stopped for lunch. I was going to walk on the beach but had already been there too long when I stopped bleeding for long enough to go back to the car.
This is where I am staying. Tiny but mine own – until Tuesday.
