At the beach

After yesterday, I woke up this morning at Rachael and Dave’s. This was planned – not over indulgence talking. Despite dire warnings, I was not woken by the children in the night. After a breakfast of toast, coffee and accidental stool softener (don’t ask) I went home changed and went back to meet them for lunch at the lighthouse overlooking Nelson Bay. This is headquarters for the Marine Rescue organisation.

View!
This is the old base for the marine rescue – photo taken to carefully exclude the giant pile of wireless and radio receivers.

On the way down from the cafe I saw the pelicans queuing up for their lunch.

We then went to the beach and had a nice afternoon paddling, burying the children and trying to keep them out of the sun.

Dave and Poppy (Rachael’s dad).
Back in Grandma mode. Note legs. And shorts!
These two snakes were found fighting over a female on the edge of R and D’s estate yesterday. Gotta love Oz.
With added action.
