Pokolbin

Well this is a nice place. It reminds me of affluent areas of the USA – large houses, beautifully mown grass and the tidiest vineyards you have ever seen. There are many wine (and whisky, chocolate, cheese etc) tasting houses, a couple of areas of chi chi shops and at least one golf resort. I did go to the next town today and discovered where everyone else lives!

I am staying in a nice little vineyard cum bed and breakfast. There are six rooms in a separate building away from the house, vines, a couple of lakes, kangaroos, wallabies and various birds. Apparently there are also snakes and other reptiles but it’s a bit cold for them.

Verandah with doors to rooms.

The swimming pool
The main house with vines.

I went off to the Hunter Gardens this morning where there are massive gardens, twee shops and a chapel! For weddings presumably.

And this Christmas Shop!

This afternoon a lady came round to give me a massage and a facial. No photos for obvious reasons.
