I have been officially adopted as a grandma.

Or at least a temporary one…..

To start with, breakfast at the hotel. I didn’t mention this before but they bring round a breakfast basket to your room around 8am to go with the tea, coffee and milk already there. And very nice it is too.

Then off to walk around the Hunter Valley Gardens ($40 – £20 – to get in). Some bits of nice garden but there were rides and loud music and Christmas decorations all over the place. They don’t start Christmas until the beginning of November, but they are obviously putting in a lot of work beforehand.

Christmas!
There are nice garden bits away from the music, the rides and the Christmas tat.
Recycling? In all senses of the word?
Californian poppies.
The rose garden.

I then met Rachael and the little girls (along with her friend Alanna) for lunch. And back into grandma mode.

Tomorrow is my penultimate day in Oz. 🙁
