Beautiful glacial valley surrounded by steep granite cliffs. Brings back memories of O level Geography. If they had brought us here I might have paid more attention!

The Retirement Travels 
Wow! I remember being taken to see some of the New England woods in Autumn and being slightly frustrated because you couldn’t see the shape of the hills for the trees – Scots are so used to bare hills – but this is gorgeous, big sky and all.
I got an ‘A’ in Geography O’ Level, much to the amusement of my family who knew I have no sense of direction at all.
