Last day in San Francisco

Travelling by bus gives you a really good view of the city and its various zones. The houses and other buildings in this place are mainly fabulous – even the ones on their last legs. (See https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/photos/San-Francisco-houses) for pictures.

Having taken the bus to Lands End (not that one) in a very high wind, I walked round the headland to the view of the Golden Gate Bridge and got the bus back, slightly more windswept than when I arrived.

I wondered about the age of the exhibits in the ice cream museum….

I also popped in to the Yerba Buena arts centre which is where I took the photo of the immigration posters. SF is a ‘sanctuary city’ which means you will not be asked to prove you have the right to be there. Cousin Ann’s students, doing English in the evenings after a long day’s manual labour, do not have to provide evidence that they are in the country legally.
