Today I went to the Henry Miller memorial library and bookshop. Very cosy, set in his old house. They have events, music, films etc. Question – was he just a pornographer? Discuss using one side of the paper only. Not a question to be raised amongst the admiring, I feel.
Then I read my book on the beach and watched pelicans diving for fish at the Andrew Molera State Park. As it was a good 3 mile round trip walk to get there, I feel I may have compensated a bit for all the driving and starchy food. Now off to find some dinner.
The Retirement Travels 
Can’t comment on Henry Miller – despite having done courses in American Literature at Georgetown we never studied Miller, mind you it’s a Jesuit institution so maybe there’s your answer. Lovely scenery, but I think that piano’s had it, although maybe it’s being lined up to be added to the beach bonfires.
