This, being Hollywood – or almost – is Will Rogers State Beach. (Old cowboy star. Look him up.) In front of you are the hills of Malibu, my hotel is in the canyon behind the 2 blocks of flats on the right and behind me, so to speak, are Santa Monica pier and Venice Beach.
