Why is it that when you have to get up early you wake up every hour all night? Even when the alarm is set. Off to the airport this morning to fly to Adelaide. The taxi driver was very keen on over sharing – told me all about his imminent divorce but also how he was going to have to go on a cruise with his wife.

This is an Australian pain au raisin.

Picked up the hire car – how do they get away with an insurance excess of $5500? Then off to Anne and Andy. We have worked it out that we have not seen each other for 25 years but hey…..

Took the dogs – 3 of them, all large plus daughter Ellen’s dog – for a walk this pm. Went past native bush and pine plantations. The Pom Pom trees are called Yaccas and are as old as the dinosaurs.

  1. Wow! those plants do look truly prehistoric. I know what you mean about the missing years – there was an item on Radio Scotland yesterday about something that happened when I was in Glasgow and saying that it was 25 years ago which was shocking.
